Theme, Logo and Slogan
Since its establishment in 1921, Sik Sik Yuen has always been committed to making contributions in the areas of religion, education, medical care, culture, and social services. It has also set up an emergency fund to provide relief to those in need. As a result, it is widely supported by the general public. The year 2021 coincides with the centenary anniversary of the Yuen. In addition to continuing to uphold the principle of “to act benevolently and to teach benevolence”, the Yuen will also continue to do good deeds to benefit the community as well as continue to preach and promote the belief of Master Wong Tai Sin to more people.
The design of the centenary anniversary logo includes three elements: the divination stick container, Wong Tai Sin Temple, and Lion Rock. In addition to symbolizing Wong Tai Sin Temple's image of “answering whatever he is asked for” that is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, it also makes clever use of a continuous ribbon to form the number “100” and the ridge of Lion Rock to symbolize that Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple has been blessing Hong Kong from under Lion Rock for 100 years and will continue to do so.
The slogan is the work of the winner of the “Sik Sik Yuen 100th Anniversary Logo Design and Slogan Creation Competition” held in 2019. The Yuen has promoted Taoism for a hundred years. It has always followed Master Wong Tai Sin's teaching of “acting benevolently and teaching benevolence” to benefit the public during this time and will continue to stay true to its faith in the future.
